Two OFWs in Dubai send their padala on the same Monday morning. One pays AED 2,005 through Remitly and her mother in Batangas gets PHP 33,860 in her bank account. The other pays AED 2,000 on Wise with a debit card, and his family in Iloilo gets PHP 32,564. That is a PHP 1,296 gap on one transfer. Over a year, that is a balikbayan box and then some. We also cover which payout to choose: GCash or Maya, a bank deposit, or cash pickup at Palawan Express, Cebuana Lhuillier or M Lhuillier.
A quick note: this post contains a small number of affiliate links for travel tools we use. None of the money transfer services below pay us anything, so every comparison here is straight.
