Nestled between South Africa and Mozambique, Eswatini is rich in culture, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. I had the chance to spend 48 hours here, and it was an incredible experience filled with some of the best things to do in Eswatini.

Day 1: Exploring Ezulwini Valley and Swazi Heritage

I started my adventure in Mbabane. It’s the capital city of Eswatini. Tourists often check in at the Hilton Garden Inn Mbabane, which remains a comfortable and convenient base in 2025.

After breakfast, I explored Ezulwini Valley, also known as the “Valley of Heaven.” This area is home to many top attractions, lodges, and beautiful views. It’s also perfect for mountain bike and quad biking tours through the lush surroundings.

Next, I visited a Swazi cultural village to learn more about Eswatini’s traditions. Watching traditional dances, I gained a deeper appreciation for the Swazis and their vibrant way of life. The stories about King Sobhuza II and ancient ceremonies brought the experience to life.

The highlight was learning about Umhlanga, or the Reed Dance, a national festival where young women present reeds to the king. The pride locals feel for this tradition was powerful.
