If you have a foreign partner, a client abroad or an expat friend, you have probably been asked this already. They read that the Philippines now has a digital nomad visa, they picture a month in Siargao with a laptop, and they want to know where to apply.
The honest answer, as of 11 October 2026: nowhere, yet. The law exists. The application form doesn’t.
The Philippines digital nomad visa was created by Executive Order No. 86, signed on 24 April 2025. This guide is for Filipinos who keep getting asked about it, for Fil-Ams and former Filipinos thinking of working from home for a year, and for foreign partners and friends planning a long stay here. We go through what the order actually says, line by line, what is still missing, who can realistically qualify, and what people do instead while the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) finishes the job.
